March 3, 2023 "We spent the afternoon with some of the kindest, most intelligent, and hardest working people we know. Nathan has the opportunity to serve as President of the Georgia Sheep Association this term (with me as secretary). We met with the board today to map out the annual meeting and put some educational programs in place for the sheep producers in our state. Whether producers market meat or wool, there is something for everyone within this organization. This group is committed to be of service to everyone from beginning shepherds to seasoned growers. If you or anyone you know has any interest in raising sheep for profit or for fun, point them in our direction. The upcoming annual meeting will be a great resource!"
Georgia Sheep and Wool Growers membership is only $35.00 per year for farm or family. Membership includes free or reduced fees for educational sessions, free classified ads, the American Sheep Industry (ASI) magazine, informal mentoring and members-only networking and sales opportunities. Benefits of MembershipAre you a new shepherd? An experienced shepherd? Whether you have decades of experience, or are just considering raising sheep, there is value in becoming a member of the Georgia Sheep and Wool Growers Association. One of the greatest values is the informal member network. Membership opens the door to meet other shepherds, see other farms, and learn about different breeds of sheep and production models.
